Educational materials based on this project were developed for freshman-level "Signature Courses" at The University of Texas at Austin.  These courses are part of a general education, core curriculum requirement.  Every freshman at The University of Texas at Austin (approximately 6700 students per year) takes a Signature Course, chosen from among hundreds of different course offerings.  Some Signature Courses are large enrollment, lecture style classes and others are small enrollment, seminar courses.  Modules based on this project were developed for two large lecture format Signature Courses, titled "Sustaining a Planet" and "Energy, Environment and Society."  Enrollments average 100-250 per year for each of the two courses.  A multi-lecture sequence on energy was developed.  The lectures address energy sources, energy use, and the role of biofuels.  The materials include PowerPoint slides, and sample exam/discussion questions.   The materials are available at the link below:
