Dr. Elena McDonald-Buller is a Senior Research Engineer with more than 20 years of experience who leads a research team focused on outdoor air quality and energy systems at the Center for Energy and Environmental Resources at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests include air quality modeling, energy systems, atmospheric chemical and physical processes, analysis of air quality measurements from surface, aircraft, and satellite-based platforms, emissions trading and dynamic air quality management strategies, and the influence of human development patterns, land use/land cover change, and extreme climate events on air quality. In addition to her own active research program, Dr. McDonald-Buller has served as a Project Manager for the Texas Air Quality Research Program.
